My Weight Loss Journey - The Check-In

Accountability Means Success

Well, I meant to write sooner, but have been quite busy.  Getting up at 4:30am most mornings in order to work out has caused me to have to get to bed earlier in the evening in order to get adequate sleep.  And make no mistake about it, when working out and trying to lose weight, sleep is essential.

I had a check-in a week ago and have officially lost 13 lbs.  There are days when I am good and there are days when I struggle.  However, the consistency of my workouts seems to have sustained consistent weight loss.  The website and device I am using to track my caloric intake and caloric burn has been great to keep me on track.

I have to log my food on the website - every meal, every snack, every day.  Lying about my intake only has a negative impact on me.  For this to be successful, I have to be 100% honest about my food intake.  I've found that in doing this, I can take a look at any time as to what my calorie deficit is.  So far, I've not yet had a day where I've had more intake than I've burned.  My trainer has stated that while I haven't always hit my goal for 1560 calories per day (or less), the good thing is that I'm taking in less than I'm burning.

This is not something I intend to be temporary.  This is my new lifestyle.  Eating healthy and exercising.  Looking at it from that perspective allows me to be patient as far as my weight loss goes.  Sure, I have specific goals I want to hit, but if I am at least moving in the right direction without stumbling, I can't be upset about that.

Thanks for the support.  And for those reading this who may be struggling with their weight as well, you can do this.  You have to make up your mind and stick to it, but you can do this.

More to come after my next check-in.  Have a great week, everyone!

I would love to get a trainer, it just some can be pricey. But I definitely need to start going to the gym again.

Good luck. Your expectations won't b cut off.
